For our Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) team in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, we are recruiting for a:

Sr. Licensing & Retail Manager CEE, Benelux & Nordics

Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) license and develop product across our successful portfolio of Viacom brands including PAW Patrol, Shimmer and Shine, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and SpongeBob SquarePants.

The Sr. Licensing & Retail Manager CEE, Benelux & Nordics reports into the Sr. Director Licensing Benelux, Nordics & CEE, and will be responsible for generating licensing revenue by closing direct licensing deals, increasing sell-through at retail by building strategic relationships with retailers across CEE, and online retailers across all territories, plus developing a digital marketing strategy, to support the overall marketing strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing NVCP Retail activities CEE

  • Plan, develop and implement local Retail strategy in line with NVCP int´l retail objectives for CEE, and build strategic partnerships with key retailers in the region
  • Develop, implement and manage local retail initiatives for all priority brands
  • Manage and implement all communication of retail initiatives
  • Secure instore and shelf communication at retail for priority brands
  • Work with retailers on measurable ROI
  • Manage local retail contacts in close cooperation with Licensing Agency CPLG

Develop and execute digital strategies with online retailers across CEE, Benelux and Nordics

  • Develop retail strategies with key online retailers across the region and implement digital (promotional) activities, increasing buy-in, visibility an sell-through of products (BOL.com, Lekmer, Bamba, etc.)

Manage and facilitate direct, recreational and content CP opportunities

  • Identify deals for incremental revenue based on content (alternative compilations on DVD/CD, branded pre-loaded tablets, etc.), recreational deals (mall events, etc.) and direct opportunistic opportunities (Ludwigs/Hunter Street, JoJo Siwa, etc.)
  • Liaise with all in- and external stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcome for all involved (CDS, Digital, Channel Marketing, Ad sales, Licensing Agencies, etc.)

Develop and implement digital marketing strategies across CEE, Benelux and CEE

  • Translate marketing strategies to build and increase awareness for key properties into digital campaigns
  • Work closely in cooperation with the sr. M&R Manager and L&M Manager.

Other

  • Route creative approvals through Creative Manager in UK for all retail initiatives
  • Liaise with other LOB’s (content distribution, ad sales, trade marketing) to streamline local activities
  • Work with local costume character / mall event agents to maximize # of events and implementation of licensees (or product) on the ground
  • Share learnings & implement local success stories in other territories
  • Support and contribute to (local) NVCP initiatives like newsletters, sales materials, partner events, etc.
  • Share learnings & implement local success stories in other territories

ROLE-SPECIFIC SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES

Education:

  • Degree in business studies with major in Commerce, Marketing, Digital Media and/or Communication

Experience:

  • Minimum 4-7 years of professional experience in sales and/or retail (marketing) (preferably within Digital, Licensing, Media, Toy or Food Industry)
  • Knowledge of the CEE retail landscape, preferably already working with CEE retailers
  • Strong affinity with digital landscape and social media
  • Understanding and knowledge of kids market and kids culture
  • Knowledge of licensing industry

Other skills:

  • Fluent in English and preferably Polish and/or Hungarian. Dutch is a pre.
  • Natural commercial talent
  • Negotiation skills
  • Excellence in developing retailer and licensee relationships
  • Very good IT skills (MS Office, Powerpoint)
