The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management within the Benelux region.

The HRBP reports into the Director Human Resources, based in
Amsterdam and serves as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues and successfully acts as an employee champion and change agent.

The role assesses and anticipates HR related needs. The HRBP builds effective relationships and partnerships across and outside the HR
function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

FUNCTIONS

 Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
 Manages and resolves (complex) employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
 Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
 Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
 Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
 Works with the wider HR team (both locally and on cluster level) to ensure HR approach for Benelux is aligned and linked to overall HR Strategy, HR Plan and HR processes & procedures
 Provides HR Support staff with input and guidance to ensure admin and payroll is being processed effectively, accurately and timely
 Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
 Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers and processes approval procedures
 Manages the resources needs, job descriptions and recruitment process
 Provides the Director Human Resources with input on business unit restructures, budget, workforce planning and succession planning
 Identifies training needs, individual executive coaching needs and manages local development programs. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
Follows up to ensure training objectives are met
 Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the local and International HR to develop and/or improve solutions, programs and policies
 Works on projects and assignments as requested by the Director Human Resources.

REQUIREMENTS

 HBO/University degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent
 Approximately 5 – 7 years HR generalist experience in a fast paced environment. Media industry experience and/or experience with working in a creative environment is preferred
 Native Dutch speaker and fluent English language skills
 Extensive knowledge of the Dutch labor law and market is a must
 Extensive experience with working in a matrix and international organization
 Hands-on and pragmatic approach in problem solving whilst always reflecting on a strategic level
 Proven team player that can also work independently. Has the ability to operate collaboratively and effectively in a matrixed environment – capability to easily, naturally develop and maintain effective great relationships across the organization
 Experienced with liaising with internal stakeholders ideally as part of a global team, ability to lead through influence, and experience with facilitating decision-making
 Agility - able to manage uncertainty and adapt to change with pragmatism. Knows how to get things done in ambiguous, executive settings
 Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the clients’ needs and situation
 Ability to produce work of very high quality on a timely manner, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at once within tight deadlines
 Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to explain complex, technical information and present facts and recommendations to different types of audiences in a clear and concise manner
 Open minded, pro-active, committed and flexible. Takes ownership and has a solution-orientedmindset.
